All Natural Do It Yourself Cold & Flu Remedy
Ok, so make as much of this as you desire! Jen Jones said she keeps her jar in the refrigerator for both the fall and winter season.
This Is A Powerful & Potent Solution!
This all natural do it yourself cold & flu remedy will knock your socks off! A few weeks ago, I came across a short reel on Instagram from influencer, Jen Jones. She makes all of these amazing health videos, by the way. This remedy was introduced by her and I decided to give it a try, since cold and flu season is here!
You need: turmeric root, ginger root, whole garlic cloves, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, cracked black pepper, raw organic honey, and a sterile glass jar with lid. In order to get started, you will also need: gloves, a cutting board, knife, grater and vegetable peeler.
Ready to Start Peeling?
Let’s Begin!
Keep in mind…this all natural do it yourself cold and flu remedy requires some prep time! Start boiling water in a pan and place your glass jar and lid in it for about 10 minutes. This will sterilize them. Grab your gloves, and use the vegetable peeler to take off the skin of the turmeric and ginger root. Note: these will leave major yellow stains on your bare hands and nails! Remove the peel from the garlic cloves.
Next, take the grater and start working on the turmeric and ginger root. You might notice, the ginger root will fray, like hair. That’s totally fine! Be sure to grate your garlic cloves too. Toss all of this into the sterilized jar and then add these: cinnamon, cayenne pepper and cracked black pepper (I really don’t use cracked black pepper, because of mold, but it’s supposed to help with the absorption of the turmeric).
Lastly, pour the raw organic honey over everything in the jar until it covers all of the contents and stir! My husband and I eat it raw and stick it back into the refrigerator. Jen recommends eating about a tablespoon. It’s just the right season to start making some!
Listed below is Jen’s recipe, but I realized it doesn’t make very much. So, try doubling or tripling the recipe and you’ll have extra! It’s potent, but sweet to the taste, due to the cinnamon and honey flavors. Hope you like it and enjoy!
