Here Are The Directions!
These directions show how to make Barb’s famous iced coffee for parties. If you love iced coffee, you won’t be disappointed!
*1 – 9 oz. can of Maxwell House International Cafe Coffee Mix (Hazelnut flavor)
*1 – Cup Boiling Water
*Ice
*Cold Water
“Boil 1 cup of water, and then put it into a Pyrex measuring cup. With a wisk, slowly add powder, mixing as you pour. It should be a dark brown color.
Put the mixture into a quart Mason jar, and let it cool on the counter. When cool, put it in the refrigerator.
When ready to use, mix with ice and enough water to get to the right color. The darker the color, the stronger the flavor. Store extra “base” in the refrigerator.
You can mix a whole pitcher or do it glass by glass.”
The Coffee Color!
Ok, so the coffee color in this picture is light compared to the color in the picture above. That is because, the coffee has added water to it now! It’s less “strong” in flavor, which is a good thing.
All you really need to do is keep adding water to the syrup, until you arrive at this color. This is a manageable flavor color to most people–any darker, and you will get a much stronger, sweeter flavor.
